Arsenal Transfer Special: Possible Ins And Outs In The Summer Window

Arsenal have always had this liking to play more youngsters and of course Arsene Wenger believes in the club’s youth system. Arsenal are blessed with a lot of talent in their club, especially in the midfield position with so many players trying to fight it out for a few places in the starting XI. Arsenal though, like any other club would like to strengthen their team, there still are a couple of places which Arsenal could improve in and they do have the money to spend after splashing the cash in buying Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla in successive summers, where they broke their own transfer record.

Here we have a list of players who should be shipped out from Arsenal and a few players who could be shipped in:

Shipped out

Wojciech Szczesny

The goalkeeper has had his fair share of problems with Arsene this season, apart from his poor performances in a couple of games, he has his smoking issue with the manager and then his father also came out with some rather harsh words for his teammates.

Ospina has come into the team to ensure they have a good replacement for the Polish goalkeeper and this could be his last season at Arsenal.

Abou Diaby

Diaby might be talented but sadly, he is injury prone and has made only 2 appearances since last season for the Gunners. It might be time to give up on Diaby and although people might still say he deserves a chance at Arsenal, the 28 year old might still have a job at Arsenal but not as a player but as a coach.

It is a little sad to write off a player who really is at no fault for his injuries but this is football, no place for emotions, nowadays.

Mathieu Flamini

Although Arsenal do not have a lot of cover for his role, Flamini could make way for the younger Coquelin who has been exceptional for the Gunners this season. Arsenal need someone who is tough in midfield and unfortunately Flamini cannot provide that all the time, his age has affected his ability and he needs a break from the rough and tumble game of the Premier League.

He still is a good player, but keeping him on the bench does not make sense for Arsenal.

Bring them in

Sami Khedira

Just buy him! That should be the slogan. Arsenal have been linked with the German world cup winner for a couple of seasons and since he would be out of contract, Wenger should not waste any time and sign him up ASAP.

They need someone who can play in the holding midfielder role and Sami would be perfect for the role. He would do well at Arsenal as well, that is if Arsene decides to buy him.

Alexandre Lacazette

The inform striker in the French League, the 23 year old Frenchman would fit perfectly at Arsenal, especially thanks to a French speaking manager. Lacazette has scored 25 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions for Lyon as he has shot them back to the top of the table.

Lacazette would be a perfect foil to play with Giroud and would definitely be better than Welbeck who does not seem to be the player everyone expected him to be for the Gunners.

Mats Hummels

This might be a bit of long stretch, but transfer market is not predictable, Mats Hummels might still be playing at Borussia Dortmund but he has been linked with a move away from the German side and since the rest of the buys could be really cheap, Arsene could break the bank to strengthen his defence.

Hummels would fit perfectly into the Arsenal team and they already have a couple of Germans in the team with Ozil and Mertesacker.

Sports, music, comics, humor, television, movies and madness. The perfect combination.
