BIG BLOW! Liverpool dealt huge blow in the chase for superstar midfielder

The Mail has reported that Liverpool target Miralem Pjanic has rubbished any speculation of him making a move to Anfield and insists he is totally focused on his performances for Italian giants Roma. The Reds manager Brendan Rodgers was quite interested in acquiring the services of 24-year-old midfielder, as a potential replacement for skipper Steven Gerrard, who is set to leave for MLS side LA Galaxy in the summer.

Rodgers, who had traveled out to Rome last week hoped to finalize this deal, but did not attend a live game as neither Roma or Lazio played. Despite the interest for the Premier League side, the Bosnian dismissed all speculation linking the two parties. In an interview Pjanic said,

“It’s not time to talk about a transfer, but there has been no contact [with Liverpool]. I am only focused on Roma.”
