Manchester United are still chasing Brazilian defender Marquinhos, currently at Paris Saint-Germain, despite the French club not ready to let the player leave. The 20 year old youngster is a central defender and is one of the most highly rated young talents in world football, at the moment. He has had two impressive seasons for PSG since signing them in the summer of 2013, for approximately £30m, at the age of just 19.
United had previously made enquiries in the January window but were denied and are still looking to bolster their defence this summer. Manager Louis van Gaal is keeping close tabs on the Brazilian international. PSG view him, as one for the future and do not wish to sell the 20-year-old Brazilian, though the Red Devils do not intend to give up. Sources close to PSG have told Sportsmail that Marquinhos is happy in Paris and has impressed many by his skill, attitude and dedication. Louis van Gaal’s side would have to prepare a huge bid, if they hope to get at attention of the French Champions, who has played a significant role in their defensive line. Some observers of the club, even consider him a more established defender than David Luiz and Thiago Silva, which is something that would delight the young defensive superstar.
