Premier League leaders Chelsea have put a £10m price tag on Petr Cech after the 32 year old revealed that he is set to leave the club, in the summer. Arsenal are keen on acquiring the Czech Republic international, while rivals Liverpool are still looking at their options after Simon Mignolet’s improvement in form. Cech, who has been a mere spectator for most of this season, since the return of Thibault Courtois said this week,

“I’m used to playing 50 or 60 games a season, not 15 or 20. That’s a big difference.”

“It looks like it works well with me and Thibaut as a duo. But that can work for one season only. I don’t want another one like this.”

“It is no secret that I want to play more. The situation is the same, it hasn’t changed. But at the end of the season it will be solved.”

Further about the Blue’s fee demands, he added,

“It depends if the club finds a compromise that makes everyone happy.”

Cech who was purchased for 7 million in 2004 has lifted three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, the Champions League and three League Cups during his decade long spell at Stamford Bridge and further said,

“January was not the right time [for me to leave]. In the autumn I played in the Champions League for Chelsea, so it was harder to make a transfer [as he was cup-tied]. We had a cup final, the Champions League and we had a promising start in the Premier League.”

“In summer it is a better situation, although you never know what will happen . I have a contract for next season, so it will depend on the club. It is in the hands of Chelsea, not mine.”

Cech loves his life in London, but the temptation of a move to Real Madrid would be too hard to resist and concluded,

“When a specific offer comes, I will consider it. There are some offers one cannot turn down.”
