Arsenal Manager hopes to get new Arsenal signing on the flight to Singapore

According to a report from Spanish newspaper Marca, in their Saturday edition Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is pushing talks to finalize a deal to bring Faouzi Ghoulam to the club. Marca further added that the Gunners have been in talks with the player for a couple of weeks now with the French manager wanting the deal to be sorted out soon, so that he can travel with Arsenal’s squad to Singapore.

That all seems well and good, but it would be a little quick for making any assumptions as such rumours are the need of the hour during the transfer window and when you read stories like the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reporting that Louis van Gaal wanted three deals done by Monday, then this might not come as a shock.

Ghoulam, 24, is a left sided player currently with Serie A side Napoli, with is his main position being at left back though he can further push forward too.

Marca also said that Ghoulam’s signing would mean that Nacho Monreal would be available for a move away from the Emirates and could therefore make his long term rumoured switch to Athletic Club Bilbao.

Whether the rumour holds any truth or not remains to be seen, though the French manager is definitely looking to add more quality players to his squad this summer.
