Manchester United now have looked a totally different side compared to last season and the way that they started this season. They have improved their form since arrival of Dutch manager Louis van Gaal who has been responsible for this major change at the club. New world class additions have been responsible for lifting the club up the table and is currently at fourth place as United looks to secure a Champions League spot for next season.
Despite all the recent success, one man who at the moment though is quite uncertain about his future with the Red Devils is striker Robin van Persie. The Dutchman has admitted that he has no idea whether he will be signing a contract extension with the club or not and has hinted the possibility of an exit. Though Van Persie enjoyed a great World Cup with Holland, who finished third under current United boss Louis van Gaal, he has not been able to replicate the same form at Old Trafford. Van Persie has scored a tally of 30 goals in his debut season at Manchester, but last season has struggled for fitness and form. The 31 year old has scored a mere eight times this season, and looked lackluster in many games.
The former Arsenal man has a contract which ends in the summer of 2016 and when asked his views on whether he would like to extend it, the striker responded by saying, “It is not up to me. For the moment I am staying here for 18 months. That is it really. I can’t look into the future. I don’t know what is going to happen after that. We shall have to wait and see.”
