It is hard to think that Rafa Benitez actually made a living from playing football looking at his figure, but he played over 400 games for Real Madris Castilla, Parla and Linares before turning his hand to management.
He took control of Real Madrid B for his first management job before moving to Valladolid. A year at the club was enough for Rafa, and he left for a brief spell at Osasuna before a two year spell at Extremadura. After winning promotion with them, he spent a year in charge of Tenerife, but it was his spell at Valencia that got people talking.
In his three years at the club he shocked everyone by winning two La Liga titles and a Uefa Cup. This got him his shot as Liveprool manager, the club where he won an FA Cup, Uefa Super Cup, a Community Shield and that memorable Champions League trophy.
His six years in Merseyside were considered a success, and he left for pastures new at the San Siro with Inter Milan. After six months and two trophies, Benitez was sacked and was left on the unemployed scrapheap for two years until he took over Chelsea.
The reception from the Blues fans has been nothing short of hostile and after being knocked out of every competition they entered this season, the fans are calling for Roman Abramovich to employ a new man to prepare for next season.
Here are five that have been mentioned, and this clip of a man who Chelsea fans are keeping their fingers crossed makes a return to the club.
