In the aftermath of England U-21’s failure, one of the main topics of debate was why the best eligible players weren’t selected to participate. This has been echoed for many years and Spain are a glowing example of why players should not be fast-tracked to the senior team, with experienced players like Juan Mata and Javi Martinez appearing for the U-21’s last time out.
This years squad includes the likes of Alvaro Morata, David de Gea and Thiago Alcantara, but the biggest name in the squad is Malaga’s star player, Isco.
