Mesut Ozil claimed two assists yesterday afternoon as Arsenal eased past Cardiff and stretched their lead at the top of the Premier League table to seven points. It would seem strange, perhaps, that Arsenal are being linked with another playmaker, this time Piotr Zielinski, but it could purely be down to Arsene Wenger’s desire to inject youth into his side at all times.
The 19-year-old is a creative player who can play on either flank but is primarily a central player.
He has a low centre of gravity and is able to wiggle through defenders’ challenges with ease and he’s also got precise, powerful shooting when in and around the box.
He’s a nippy player with an eye for a pass and could prove to be a brilliant player over the next few years, though you’d expect him to be on the fringes until then.
He is currently plying his trade in Serie A with Udinese who he worked his way up from the youth ranks, and he also has three goals in five games for the Poland national side.
The way Zielinski is able to dart between defensive lines is brilliant to watch and sitting alongside the likes of Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla would surely have a huge impact on his career.
