Chelsea have a big few months ahead of them. The Blues are within touching distance of the top of the Premier League table, they are still in the Champions League and are also in the FA Cup, so come the end of the season Blues fans may be celebrating a little more than the fact Jose Mourinho is back at the helm. In order to do it though, I would suggest using the loan market to their advantage.
I would be looking to borrow players with the view to making them a permanent. There is one man that stands out for me who I think Mourinho should be going for, and that’s Edinson Cavani. The Uruguay international has been in blistering form over the past few years and would provide a superb option for Mourinho.
He can score goals from anywhere on the pitch with either foot, and is also notably strong in the air. He is currently as Paris Saint-Germain where he has scored 20 goals in 29 games in his debut season.
I would also look to offload Demba Ba to make some room, as he is a very average footballer in my eyes. His goal return is woeful and he offers very little, so I would give him the boot and look to sign Cavani.
That’s easier said than done, though.
