As the end of the 2013/14 Premier League season draws ever closer, respected writers, professionals and fans have all shared their picks on who makes their team, player and manager of the current campaign. Although this season’s thrilling title race is yet to be concluded and still has many twists and turns to come, I have come to the conclusion as to who my manager of the season will be.
Manager:
Brendan Rodgers – Liverpool
Liverpool’s performances this season speak for themselves. Sweeping aside the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Spurs and Everton in magnificent fashion, Brendan Rodgers’ side have found themselves five points clear at the top of the Premier League with just 3 games to go.
After finishing way down in 7th place last season, the Northern Irishman’s players have transformed into one of the most fearless, attacking sides in Europe scoring 96 goals in the process.
Tony Pulis and Roberto Martinez deserve credit for their jobs at Crystal Palace and Everton respectively, but after taking a team who couldn’t even get into the Europa League to potential Champions in just one season, Brendan Rodgers is my choice for this year’s best manager.
Do you agree with my choice?
