Next season is a huge one for Liverpool. Not only will people be expecting them to fight for the Premier League title again but they also have their Champions League adventure to embark on. Needless to say they need to keep hold of Luis Suarez, but they will need strength in depth if they are to compete.
One man who could offer that is Adam Lallana of Southampton. He offers so much flexibility and creativity that it would be a shame to not see him in the Champions League at his peak.
The 26-year-old was by far Southampton’s most creative player last season and could provide Liverpool’s free-scoring forwards with even more ammunition.
He is able to play central, off the left or behind the striker and would fit in nicely with Brendan Rodgers’ desire of silky, fluid football.
He completed 56% of his take ons last season and had 50 shots at goal, scoring nine goals.
For me it would make sense if Liverpool make a move for the England international.
