A Mathieu Flamini Appreciation (video)

I want to discuss Mathieu Flamini yet again. I know what you’re thinking, surely you’ve said enough for us to believe that he is a good signing? While that may well be true, I want to use a visual aid to improve your understanding further and not just taking my word for it.

The Art Of The Nutmeg

It is bad enough when it happens playing with your mates on the street, but when somebody gets you on an 11-a-side football pitch there is nowhere to hide.

Chris Waddle’s Finest Moment (Video)

It is interesting to note that when Chris Waddle moved from Tottenham to Marseille it was for a fee of £4.3m, making it the third highest fee paid for a player ever in 1989. 24 years later and Gareth Bale has been sold to Real Madrid for £85.6m. Bonkers.

Why Signing Mathieu Flamini Was A Wise Move For Arsenal

After looking at Yaya Sangogo in my previous article, I thought I’d have a closer look at Arsenal‘s French midfielder Mathieu Flamini. Now if your memory serves you well, you will remember the name Mathieu Flamini as the player had previously spent time in the Premier League. In fact, he spent his previous time with Arsenal, when the Gunners had a midfield which included Alex Hleb, Francesc Fabregas and Tomas Rosicky. This time round, though, the Frenchman will be playing alongside Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey to name a few. It’s a change, yes, but the quality of players around him remains the same, if not better.

A Closer Look At Arsenal Striker Yaya Sanogo

With the summer transfer window now firmly shut, it’s a good time to reflect on the summer that Arsenal had – a reflection which could have been much, much worse had Wenger not splashed the cash on Mesut Ozil on deadline day. Arsenal only made three other signings this summer, spending £0 in the process – except the loan fee for Emiliano Viviano and the compensation that was paid to Auxerre for Yaya Sanogo.
