Sanchez Is A Lot Like Eden Hazard – Blues Fan Favourite Comments On Arsenal And Chelsea Stars

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has drawn similar comparisons between Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez and Blues forward Eden Hazard.

Hazard has regained his scintillating form this term which helped Chelsea to the League title two seasons ago and with eight goals already this season the 25 year old is looking as dangerous as ever for the Blues. The Belgian scored a superb counter attacking goal against Manchester City to wrap up the points at the Etihad with a 3-1 win over their title rivals.

Alexis Sanchez on the other hand has been equally impressive for the Gunners in the front-line; their attack now has a speedy smooth flow about them when the Chilean is in the squad. With 11 goals this season including a hat-trick last weekend over West Ham the 27 year old is really pushing for success in terms of titles at Arsenal.

Despite being used as a striker this season, ex-Chelsea striker Hasselbaink believes Sanchez is a better player when used as a winger like Hazard.

‘Alexis Sanchez, for me, is not an out-and-out striker,’ Hasselbaink told Sky Sports (via Daily Express).

‘He is a little bit between. He can come from wide. He is more dangerous coming from wide. Sanchez and Hazard are quite similar’ Hasslebaink added.

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are currently leading the Premier League with 37 points while Arsenal are close behind in second with 34 points. The Blues haven’t lost a Premier League game since a 3-0 defeat by the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium in September.

SHOCK! Real Madrid want Chelsea’s Eden Hazard if Gareth Bale leaves

Real Madrid have hinted that they will make a big-money bid for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard at the end of the season if Gareth Bale decides to leave. The European Champions did not wish to sell the former Tottenham forward, whom they purchased in 2013. French magazine Le10Sport that Manchester United will try to make an attempt to bring him to Old Trafford with an enormous bid.

Bale has not had the best time this season at the Bernabeu and Real might look to cash in on the Welshman, whom they bought for £85m. If indeed Bale does intend of leaving, the La Liga giants might look to sign the Belgian Hazard as the perfect replacement for him. Chelsea’s Hazard is one of the best wingers in the Premier League at this point and has been quite brilliant during the course of the current campaign. He also signed a new five-year deal earlier this season, but a chance to play for Real, could see him make the move to Spain.

WOW! Zinedine Zidane Compares Chelsea’s Eden Hazard With Ronaldo And Messi

Real Madrid reserve team coach Zinedine Zidane recently admitted that he likes Belgian international Eden Hazard, as a player more than Cristiano Ronaldo. The former French international works currently with the reserves at the Bernabeu and added to speculations that the European champions might be interested in Hazard, by revealing that he is keeping tabs on his progress. The Belgian is expected named PFA Player of the Year soon and recently signed a five-and-a-half year deal with the Blues in February.

Hazard is at present Chelsea’s top earner at £200,000 a week and in an interview with French publication Maxifoot, Zidane claimed,

“Obviously, there is Lionel Messi and Ronaldo, both of whom are spectacular, but I like Eden Hazard a lot too. I like everything he does on the field. I like his behaviour, his decisiveness and love to see his progress every year.

“There is still scope for further progress and if Chelsea are to win the Premier League this season, Eden will have had a lot to do with it.”

Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho Fears For Eden Hazard’s Future

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly burst out in anger and said that Eden Hazard could quit Chelsea and the Premier League if referees failed to protect him against aggressive challenges of opposition players. Hazard has been the most charismatic player in the Premier League this season and is one of the main reasons that Chelsea are on top of the Premier League points table at the moment. Some of the performances he has produced have been of high quality and has become a target of many big clubs including Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona. Hazard was also the Blues’ sole star performer in their shocking 5-3 defeat against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on New Year’s day. The Belgian put in yet another mesmerizing display. The 23 year old winger did rise to the occasion and produced another magical performance, but the lack of support could not prevent Chelsea’s downfall.

Jose Mourinho has warned that Hazard may soon get fed up of all the rash challenges on him and insists referees must do more to protect the game’s flair players.

Mourinho was quoted as saying, “People in love with football in this country, people must be in love with Eden Hazard. The way, match after match, he’s being punished by opponents and he’s not being protected by referees, maybe one day we won’t have Eden Hazard. It’s one, two, three, four, five, 10 aggressive fouls against him. They kick and kick and kick, and the kid resists. He’s a very honest guy in the way he plays, but that’s another problem.”

This was reported by the media after Chelsea’s loss to Tottenham eliminated the point gap between them and rivals Manchester City. Mourinho had expected this and had mentioned that it could happen in the near future if his team became too complacent.

Chelsea Player Ratings vs Hull City – Hazard’s Magic Secures 3 Points For The Blues

Chelsea Player Ratings vs Hull City

Chelsea beat Hull City 2-0, but they were not at their best throughout the game. Hull City went a man down, when Tom Huddlestone was sent off after a horrible tackle on Filipe Luis. The refereeing was inconsistent, to an extent, but yellow cards were given for simulation tactics employed during the game, which kept the players in check. Chelsea looked jaded after constantly playing games, and Jose will have to think about giving some members of the first team a break, before they suffer from burnout. Hull looked like they could have fought in the dying minutes, but if they had not given away the second goal, they might have been able to launch a fightback.

Player ratings:

Petr Cech – 7/10 – Came out to punt the occasional ball out of the box. Sone Aluko and Gaston Ramirez were the only threats, but a good centre-back pairing ahead of him did not let the ball reach him too many times. Did not have too much to do in his first Premier League start this season, but did a good enough job.

Branislov Ivanovic – 7.5/10 – Kept making runs on the right. Attacked and defended well against Hull’s attacks on the left. Was at his usual best, with accurate passing on most occasions, keeping Hull at bay.

Gary Cahill – 6.5/10 – Was one half of a good centre-back pairing that has shut most teams out this season. Had a decent game, which was partly marred through his yellow card in the first half in his bid to stop Aluko, who was Hull’s major threat.

John Terry – 7/10 – Was good in his leading role, but not at the top of his game. Lacked sharpness at times, as he made crucial clearances, but could have done better. Marshalled the troops during the final minutes of the game when Hull were threatening to score.

Filipe Luis – 7/10 – Shone in his first Premier League start, as he was the victim of a terrible tackle from Tom Huddlestone, without whom Hull lost their main midfield box-to-box player, and lacked power while charging forward.

John Obi Mikel – 7.5/10 – Given a rare start by Jose Mourinho, after numerous opportunities to come off the bench and lock the defence down, he did his job, ensuring that the ball kept moving forward with his level of steady consistency, without attempting anything too flashy.

Nemanja Matic – 8/10 – Played the role of shielding the back-4, but could do it with more ease and freedom to attack, as John Obvi Mikel was also handling defensive duties along with him. Made tackles and kept Hull in check through the game.

Willian – 7.5/10 – Added pace to a dynamic midfield, as he kept tracking back to collect the ball before sprinting past the opposition with the ball on a number of occasions in the first half. Played the role of a box-to-box attacking midfielder, laying off the ball to his fellow attackers.

Oscar – 7.5/10 – Was buzzing all around the pitch, putting in a high work rate, before he was taken off in the end. Made an assist to Eden Hazard to start with, but was largely ineffective on the left wing later, as his crossing lacked accuracy.

Eden Hazard – 9/10 – Got a goal to start with and then got an assist later, as he threaded his way through Hull’s players, as if the pitch was his obstacle course. Also had moments of inertia in some places, as he waited for the others to build the game up. Magical game.

Diego Costa – 8/10 – Grabbed a late goal to end his goal drought after scoring consistently through the first eight games of the season. Was booked for simulation and constantly got into the faces of the opposition to put them off in his aggressive manner.

Didier Drogba – 7/10 – Was brought on as a late replacement, and kept the Hull defence buzzing, as he got himself into spaces. However, he has lost a considerable amount of pace, as was noticed in his one-on-one duels with Curtis Davies and James Chester, and mostly has depended upon set pieces to trouble the opposition.

Andre Schurrle – 6.5/10 – Made runs into Hull’s defence, and kept the ball when he had to, but lacked incisiveness which could have finished Hull off, as their players were tired and could have fallen prey to a fast run and cross from him for a possible third goal.

Ramires – Cannot be graded, as he took time to settle into the rhythm of the game, by which time, the game had ended.

Boost For Chelsea As Real Madrid Rule Out Of £70m Star Signing

Chelsea fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as reports from English based Media Outlet DAILY STAR have claimed that the Spanish giants have ruled out a stunning £70m mid for Eden Hazard. The Belgian winger has been linked with the reigning European Champions of late but the recent report means the Stamford Bridge side will now be less worried about the player moving out from London.

Real manager Carlo Ancelotti has rubbished reports suggesting he is trying to sign the dazzling winger. The Galacticos manager said, “I’m happy with the squad I have. Sami Khedira has been unlucky because he had a small problem but Jese has recovered. We don’t need anyone in January.” Real have made staggering signings in the past few seasons and there is no doubt that despite Ancelotti’s words they are on the lookout for Hazard.

Hazard has been in superb form this season, having scored 7 goals already and is one of the key players who is behind Chelsea’s superb start to the season. The Blues still lead the Premier League standings by 3 points having lost to Newcastle United away at St James’ Park on Saturday.

Hazard will also be he key for Jose Mourinho’s side as the season prolongs. The 23 year old is one of the finest players in the Premier League and there is no way that Chelsea would let him go in the upcoming January transfer window.

Chelsea involved in £70m Transfer with Real Madrid

This might be well far fetched but reports from English Media Outlet DAILY EXPRESS claim that Real Madrid are still keen to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea. The report claims that the French Champions Paris St Germain are also interested and they are preparing a £70m bid for the winger. However, there is absolutely no way that the 23 year old will leave the Stamford Bridge side and there have been claims that manager Jose Mourinho is oconfident about Hazard signing a new deal.

Mourinho  said, “If they’re happy to be here, like Eden is showing, he will sign a new contract sooner or later. They can basically be the Chelsea team for the next few years.”  However it is well known that such statements will not deter either of the European heavyweights to splash the cash for the sensational Hazard who has just looked unstoppable this season.

Chelsea have been in superb form and have already displayed form of early Premier League title contenders and Hazard has been integral to the team’s performance. Moreover, he has not only come up with goals grabbing match winning performances, its is his tracking back abilities to help out the defense that has made him grow as a player.

Chelsea have already mentioned that they are developing a team that can challenge for silverware for the upcoming years and central to that has been the club’s policy to recruit youngsters at  a tender age. Hazard has been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge but a move now to either Real Madrid or PSG doesn’t seem feasible, more with the Financial Fair Play regulations kicking in.

Manchester United can complete brilliant transfer taking some help from Chelsea

Ok, so try not to laugh over this. English Mirror are up at it once again. This time its the MIRROR who have claimed that Manchester United can buy Gareth Bale if Chelsea sell Eden Hazard to Real Madrid. Okay, so let that sink in. Its unbelievable that in the major part of the article that they have covered the story, its actually about other news rather than Bale to United or Hazard to Madrid. they finally point out that the Welsh winger has been linked with a move to Old Trafford since the summer after it developed that a Cristiano Ronaldo return to Old Trafford is unlikely. Bale has insisted that he is happy at the Bernabeu and does not want to move. Moreover Eden hazard is also a long-term target for Madrid but only if sanity prevails, Chelsea will surely not want to sell their prized asset.

Okay, let us clarify some key things here. Its shambolic from the Mirror to manufacture the non existent transfer rumours which are created just to deceive readers. Why would Bale even in fact want to join United now after having just moved to the Spanish capital. Moreover, it is believed that Ryan Giggs is being labelled as a chief ingredient to lure Bale to Old Trafford. So why the Welshman didn’t move to United when he was linked long before joining Real?

Also Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho would be a fool to sell Hazard and why would Real even want him in place of Ronaldo who seems settled at Bernabeu. Hazard has been an integral part of the Chelsea side who look to challenge for honours at Stamford Bridge. Moreover, the Belgian was linked to PSG in the summer and didn’t move saying he is happy at London
