Boring, boring city?

Many argue that Roberto Mancini’s tactics at times do not take risks and causes city fans to fall asleep, however Mancini proved he is willing to take a risk as he set up a very attacking line up against Sunderland last Sunday.

The return of winger Adam Johnson is a huge boost as he provides that natural width and on his day is a very tricky player to handle, City triumphed to an emphatic 5-0 win against Sunderland with AJ himself bagging the first goal.

Added attacking quality included selecting recent controversial striker Mario Balotelli who was unlucky not to score along with midfield maestro David Silva, Yaya Toure and the return of Carlos Tevez who also scored, again bringing his daughters to the game and again scoring.

So, should Mancini of been a bit braver in some games like United at home, Arsenal away and Chelsea away? The ‘park the bus’ approach in those games resulted in just 2 points out of 9. Or was it more down to a terrible performance by Sunderland? Although Sunderland manager Steve Bruce quoted that they well and truly had their backsides kicked.

Another thing I noticed after returning from the game, I put MOTD2 on and saw Alex Ferguson was in the crowd with perhaps a slightly worrying look, should he be worried with the FA Cup semi final so close?
