Liverpool’s news worsens as they found out captain Steven Gerrard has been ruled out for the rest of the season, they also have Daniel Agger out with a knee injury and Glen Johnson out with a hamstring injury, Aurelio and Shelvey are to face late fitness tests while David Ngog returns to the squad.
Manchester City have no more injury concerns although it is uncertain whether Pablo Zabaleta has returned to the squad as he has been on compassionate leave.
Liverpool have won 6 out of the last 9 games but injuries are starting to mount, however City have not yet won on the road in 2011.
The referee for the game is Chris Foy.
Prediction: The games between the two have been close recently and with city not winning away it is hard to see what they will do, Andy Carroll is also due his first goal. 1-1.
