Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyes have stole the headlines in regards to Manchester United related news of late, but Wayne Rooney has been trying his best to snatch some of the limelight with his demands to leave the club. Well, it seems the Old Trafford bosses are ready to replace the stroppy striker with Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema, according to the Sun.
Benzema has scored 10 goals in La Liga this season as Jose Mourinho’s men conceded the title to Barcelona, but with some drastic changes expected at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer the France international has been linked with a move to the English topflight.
There is also expected to be a reshuffle in the Red Devils’ roster with Javier Hernandez supposedly heading to Spain, which opens up the gap for Benzema.
Like Rooney, the 25-year-old has been known to throw his toys out the pram when things don’t go his way, but unlike the chubby Scouser he keeps his outbursts to himself and doesn’t swear into live Sky cameras.
Will we be seeing a slice of France in Manchester next season?
I think the real question in this situation is whether or not Benzema should keep his hair or revert back to the bald, bearded striker that we had all come to recognise.
