Ian Holloway’s Crystal Palace advanced to the final of the Championship play-offs after his side beat a lacklustre Brighton team last night thanks to two goals from winger Wilfried Zaha. They will now face Gianfranco Zola’s Watford team in the final at Wembley in just under two weeks time.
Holloway is one of the most popular managers in recent Premiership history after his time in the topflight with Blackpool. The man from Bristol endeared himself to many fans around the country for his wacky post-match interviews, his Blackpool team also became one of the most entertaining teams in the Premier League as they struggled to defend but loved to attack.
The Bristolian Holloway left Blackpool after three years at the helm to take over at Crystal Palace in November following the departure of Dougie Freedman. He has led the team to 5th place and the play-offs with a victory on the last day of the season.
