5 Serie A Players Who Could Improve The Manchester United Squad

With Manchester United struggling to deliver the good recently, here are five Serie A players that I think would the Red Devils would benefit from.

1) Allan – Udinese

The 22-year-old is a holding midfield player very much in the Paul Scholes mould, but better at tackling. He loves nothing more than stripping opponents of the ball and spraying searching passes and he has a hunger to succeed.

2) Luca Cigarini – Atalanta

Another central midfielder but a more attacking one now in Cigarini. The 27-year-old has played nine games this season and claimed five assists, while also scoring one of his own. He averages 66 passes per game and has completed 23 key balls.

3) Arturo Vidal – Juventus

The 26-year-old is a box-to-box midfielder who has scored five and created three in Serie A and the Champions League combined. He is an energetic player who would complement the likes of Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick brilliantly.

4) Riccardo Montolivo – AC Milan

In my eyes, there is no player better suited to United than this man. Although he is 28, Montolivo is a technically-brilliant central midfielder who can play either in a defensive role, the number 10 berth or down the right – and he’s naturally gifted in all of those areas.

5) Jorginho – Verona

Still only 21, the little midfielder has already scored five goals this season and claimed an assist. Another energetic box-to-box midifelder, the Verona man is surely going to get a move to a bigger club soon.
