Patrice Evra had a mixed game against Cardiff this weekend – After he nodded in Manchester United’s second of the fixture, he was then rooted to the spot when Peter Whittingham whipped in his free kick to which KimBo-Kyung latched onto and headed past David De Gea. However, the France international may be playing his last few months for David Moyes’ side, as the Daily Star are reporting that Ligue 1 giants Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain are ready to bid big to land the left-back’s services as he nears the end of his contract. But what will they be getting with their money?
He may have lost his pace that he held so much of when he arrived in Manchester, but almost every other part of his game has grown immensely. His positioning is incredible, his burst down the wing are more effective and he’s also chipping in with goals – he scored four league goals last season and got his first of this campaign at the weekend.
Only Wayne Rooney has made more key passes than Evra in the United squad this season, and he has won 53% of his individual duels. He has averaged eight defensive actions per game and has a 60% shot accuracy, which is a higher percentage than the likes of Rooney, Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck.
Whoever lands the 32-year-old will have one remarkable player on their books.
