Arsenal Linked With Surprise Move For Premier League Midfielder – Here’s Why It Would Be A Good Move

According reports from the Express, Arsenal are planning a move for Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry, who has impressed while on loan at Everton this season. the move may seem a bit of a weird one considering the age if the England international, but for me the move would be a perfect one for the Gunners. Here’s why.

He is a player with so much experience in the English top tier and he knows exactly what it’s about. He has played for mid table sides, teams pushing for Europe and was a big part of the City side that won the Premier League title a couple of seasons back.

Although he’s a slow player, he uses his tactical knowledge to his advantage as stations himself in strong positions whenever he is deployed. This season he has played 20 games for the Toffees and has formed a partnership with James McCarthy.

Barry has created 25 chances and scored three goals – something he is not renowned for doing, and has won 80% of his take ons. He has made 40 tackles, completed 86% of his passes and averaged five defensive per game and for me would be a perfect addition to the Arsenal squad.

Gooners, would you want him in your side?
