Projected Liverpool Lineup vs West Ham – Fabio Borini May Start Along With Super Mario

After a nervy 2-1 win over surprise package Ludogoretz Razgrad on their return to the Champions League midweek, Liverpool head to West London to face Sam Allardyce’s West Ham United in the Barclays Premier League. After a disappointing home defeat to stubborn Aston Villa, Rodgers’ boys will be put through a rather grueling physical test by the Hammers at Upton Park.

Here is a look at what the Reds’ starting XI might look like this weekend:-

Projected Liverpool Lineup vs West Ham

Formation : 4-4-2 (Diamond)

Goal Keeper And Defense

Simon Mignolet

The Belgian shot-stopper is the undisputed number 1 at Anfield these days. Despite being at fault for the late equaliser against Ludogretz on Tuesday, Rodgers will not make any change between the sticks as Mignolet will need to be at his very best against a physically robust Hammers side.

Javi Manquillo

The 20 year old Spaniard had arguably his best game in a Red shirt since making the switch from Madrid to Liverpool. Having won the penalty that clinched the victory for his side, Manquillo was rock solid at the back all game. With his crossing getting better significantly every game, Javi Manquillo will have a huge part to play in the season that follows.

Dejan Lovren

After a rather nervy couple of games, the Croatian centre-half will be put to test against a robust Hammers side at the weekend. At fault for the equaliser against Ludogoretz, Lovren will be itching to set things right against the Hammers.

Mamadou Sakho

The Frenchman endured a shaky start to his Liverpool season but has gradually come into his own in the last few games. Dominant in the air and physically Liverpool’s best bet, Sakho will relish the physical challenge West Ham have in store for Liverpool.

Alberto Moreno

The young Spaniard is already found himself space in the hearts of many Liverpool fans. An absolutely rapid left-back, Moreno bursts down the wing whenever given the chance. The former Sevilla man is no slouch in defence either, having already made absolutely crucial last ditch challenges often early on in his Liverpool career.
