Arsenal Injury Update: French Defender Reveals Comeback Date

Arsenal Injury Update

At-last some good news for Arsenal fans as injured French defender Mathieu Debuchy revealed that he hopes to return to full training next month.

Mathieu Debuchy  was signed from Newcastle United during Summer transfer window but sadly, his Arsenal career started very badly with a severe ankle injury he suffered during Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City at Emirates in September. Debuchy recently started physical training in gym (see the pic) and he is now determined to come back soon to first team training.

Debuchy attended an event at Arsenal Soccer School Dubai (Emirates 7evens Facility), where he answered the questions about his injury.

Debuchy said, (source: Arsenal.com)

“My injury is now better,”

“I work hard every day with the physio and I want to be back on the pitch in December. I’m looking forward to it.

“I was really proud when I signed for Arsenal and it has been frustrating getting injured so soon, but I am focused on coming back stronger. I am very positive about that.

“Training at Arsenal is an extremely high standard. I’m nearly 30 but I’m still improving by training with players who are of such a high quality, like everyone at Arsenal.”

“It’s been more frustrating watching from the stands than being on the pitch. The last two games have been quite positive and hopefully when we face Manchester United we’ll come out on top.”

Debuchy’s return could prove vital for the gunners in their race to finish top four (title race may be?) If Debuchy starts in right, it will also allow Chambers to play in his favorite center back spot, increasing the defensive stability of the team.
