App Review: SofaScore LiveScore

Sofascore - Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid line-ups

Over the course of last two seasons where we have seen the growth of mobile traffic all over the globe, the need for mobile friendly versions of websites and apps have grown rapidly. And when you have a mobile version for everything, the need for an APP amongst the public mass grows together.

That’s where the SofaScore Livescore comes in. An app that comes in handy when you need to check the latest across Basketball, Football/Soccer, Tennis and more, when on the go.

So where to start? It’s pretty, it’s fast, and it’s packed with simple features. You get to see live notifications, match scores and results in-depth including a notification for a red card. The most interesting and surprising option that I came across was it’s ability to generate match predictions based on the cookies collected from the users of the app.

And then there are the usual tables, schedules and squad listings plus news feeds and live action updates.

SofaScore is available in all mobile platforms: iOS, Android and Windows.

Here are some of the screenshots taken from the app.

  • Speed (4/5) – Yes, the speed is pretty much quick. Not many apps can be quicker in-terms of updating the scores, but SofaScore does that with ease.
  • Features (3.5/5) – With leagues from all over the world represented, I believe it is hard to build too many features in a single app. However, there are scopes to further enhance the product.
  • Looks (4.5/5) – I must accept that the looks of the app is pretty much the main reason why, I continue to use the app to this day. Not that it doesn’t have good features in it, but I am person who gives more importance to presentation.
  • Overall (4.5/5) – A simple and reliable app to use.
