Having received a number of match tickets for Christmas to attend a handful of Manchester United games, I was naturally excited as I don’t get to see my team as much as I would have liked over the last two years. Leaving Salford to plough my way through university in the capital I had to give up my Old Trafford season ticket. However, I packed my bags, bought my rail tickets and made the trip to the Theatre of Dreams to watch my team play Fulham. I wish I hadn’t bothered.

Fulham will be happy with their 2-2 draw at Manchester United yesterday, but the home side will certainly feel more than frustrated. Here are four things we learned from the clash.

With bottom of the table Fulham travelling to Old Trafford yesterday to take on the reigning champions Manchester United, it seemed as though the result would be going just one way.

After Arsenal received a beating from Liverpool this weekend, people have been writing them off in regards to their title chances. Yes, they had an off day and were ripped apart by a top team, but by no means can you write the Gunners off. Here’s why.

With Fulham in such a mess at the moment, Manchester United fans will be expecting to send the Cottagers back to the capital without anything this afternoon. The Red Devils are in desperate need of all three points to keep their fight for a top four finish alive, but Fulham need the point to climb away from the bottom of the league. Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw by Hull at the KC Stadium last weekend as Tim Sherwood’s side ground out a point thanks to Paulinho’s second-half goal.

Manchester United host Fulham this afternoon, looking to bounce back following a disappointing result against Stoke last time out.  

Hands up, who saw that one coming? Flicking through the fixture list there was no way I could have guessed that Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool would have battered Arsenal in the way that they did, nor would I have guessed the 5-1 result. The Reds were brilliant yesterday, but there were two men who were at the heart of most of the attacks.
