Top tips to succeed at football accumulators

Despite the fact that a large majority of experts recommend placing only single bets, as they’re supposedly the best means to become profitable in the long term, there’s a healthy percentage of online football bettors that prefer accumulators instead. Although accumulators don’t offer equally good winning chances, as there are multiple selections involved, they nevertheless continue to be popular for backing the odds-on favourites and for winning huge sums of money in one go.

In fact, with the not too far away, you must begin working on your accumulators-strategy and at the earliest possible. Let’s take you through 4 important tips that can help you use accumulator bets to your advantage and succeed with them in the upcoming World Cup.

Create multiple betting accounts

Considering that the odds-on each one of your selections would get multiplied with the bet amount for determination of potential winnings, even a slight change in the prices can significantly decrease or increase your total returns. Hence, you must open betting accounts with different bookmakers as it would help you avail the best possible prices/odds each time. Furthermore, keeping in mind that you would mostly be backing the odds-on favourites, it would be better to find out the bookmakers that offer consistently offer good prices on the top sides.

Adjust your stakes depending on the overall odds and the number of selections

Keeping in mind the fact that the accumulators qualify for returns only when all selections win, punters must consider the relation between the overall combined odds and the size of their stakes. It wouldn’t make much sense to invest plenty of money if there are a good number of legs on the betting slip, and if the total combined odds are significant. Hence, don’t refrain from scaling down your bets if the accumulator seems like a long shot. On the other hand, if there are many selections in your accumulator where each team can be termed as hot favourite, you can freely increase the stake amount and attempt multiplication a few times.

Short priced favourites aren’t always the best

Online punters normally use the strategy of backing at short odds while placing accumulator bets, however, you should be aware that some of the strongest sides also slip up on critical occasions. Hence, it would be wise to sometimes skip the short priced favourites if the offered odds are too low to derive any good value from them. You must instead get behind the in-form teams going up against weaker sides, hence keeping the winning possibility almost the same, but significantly improving the total combined odds.

Factor in the accumulator bonuses

Many off-line and online bookies offer their regular customers attractive bonuses on the winning accumulators, sometimes adding up 100% cash bonuses on top of the winnings, based on the total number of selections. Such bonuses can add a significant amount of extra value to the accumulators, hence, it would make great sense to open an account at all such websites.

Marc Pugh renewed his deal with Bournemouth

According to the latest reports, Bournemouth is looking into the possibility of signing Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle in the upcoming January transfer window.

Manager Cherries boss Eddie Howe now wants Gayle to fill the void left by their top scorer Callum Wilson. These reports suggest that Bournemouth is ready to pay up to £6million to lure the striker away from Palace.

Gayle, who scored 10 goals last season, is currently struggling to find enough game time because of the heavy competition for the starting 11 at Palace. So, a move to Bournemouth could revive his premier league career. This is a Win-Win situation for both the club and the player.

Bournemouth is struggling in the Premier League, even though they are now sponsored by Mansion Group – an online gambling business who owns and operates a number of sites like . They started the campaign very well, but a long-term injury to Callum Wilson resulted in an ongoing struggle for goals in the league. They are currently sitting in 19th position in the table with just 2 wins so far.

Elsewhere the Cherries have managed to sort out the contract issues with winger Marc Pugh. The former Hereford player’s contract was due to expire at the end of this season and the extension now means that he will stay with the club until 2018.

Pugh started his career in Burnley where he reached through the youth system. In 2010-2011 seasons Pugh made his debut opening with the Bournemouth against Charlton Athletic on 7th august 2010. Pugh’s debut goal came in the game against Peterborough United on 14th August.

Marc Pugh helped the Cherries win the Championship title in 2014-2015 and thus, getting the club an entry in the premier league for the first time in the Club’s 125 years. With the victory against Huddersfield town on October 2014 by 0-4 following a victory against Birmingham City by 0-8, led the club to win at the end. The game against Bolton Wanderers with 3-0 win (Pugh’s first goal, sealed Bournemouth’s promotion to the premier league. The 28year old performance has a strong part to play in setting the club’s record higher and getting it promoted to the premier league.

With 73 goals to his credit since 2003 the winger is 1 goal short of 50 with 49 goals while in Bournemouth. Good at dribbling, the player has come through a lot since his start in 2003 with Burnley. With being associated with different clubs since Burnley such as Bury, Shrewsbury Town, Hereford United, the player seems to finally settle with the Bournemouth, for whom he has been playing since 2010.

In his career, the move to Bournemouth FC seems to be one of the most remarkable decisions for the player as well as the club. Being a part of success squad, Pugh is proud of what he has become and what the club has turned into. He always wanted his future with the club and has been a part of the team that turned around the future of the club nearly insolvent a few years back.

The player is happy with the renewal of his contract with Bournemouth. He sounds satisfied with the deal and as it is, he will not be moving for more or less another 3 years from Bournemouth.

Bundesliga Superstar Admits Joining Manchester United Is Like A “Gift” For Him

Manchester United have been linked with moves for many high quality players from all across Europe for the upcoming transfer window. Louis van Gaal knows he is in need of some match winning players, as his side gets set to return to Champions League football.

The Dutch manager has a list of stars on his radar and is trying to complete a move for those short-listed superstars this summer.

One player linked last summer with the Red Devils was Luiz Gustavo and many British newspapers claimed that United wanted to buy the midfielder, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Gustavo joined Wolfsburg in 2013 after failing to impress at Bayern Munich and secure a first-team spot often. Also, Van Gaal was the Bayern manager who bought him from Hoffenheim and gave him the opportunity to play for the Bundesliga champions.

The 27 year old Brazilian spoke to this week’s edition of SportBild, when asked how he would fancy playing for one of several huge clubs linked with him. Apart from United, domestic rivals Chelsea were also keen on a move.

Meanwhile, former club Bayern, La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, were also some of the other clubs interested. Gustavo stated, “If I were to be able to once again have the chance to go to such a club, then that would be like a gift to me. However, I also know what I have at VfL. I am incredibly happy here.”

Further talking about his career, he said, “A childhood dream come true. But I do not want the respect of others just because Luiz Gustavo is a good footballer. I want respect because I am a good person. I know where I come from, that all I have achieved is only with hard work.”

Arsenal And Liverpool Boosted As €35 million Argentine Star Could Leave In Summer

Gonzalo Higuain

Premier League rivals Liverpool and Arsenal are all set to have a go in their pursuit of a striker as Napoli’s Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain is on the verge of leaving Italy. According to, the Argentina international will leave the Serie A side Napoli at the end of this season.

The Thursday edition of The Messenger, one of the popular Newspapers in Naples, had the headline “Higuain, Goodbye Italy” and anticipated his move out of Italy. This season the 27-year-old World Cup runner-up has scored only 12 goals from 20 league matches after hitting 17 in 32 in his debut campaign.

Napoli had paid €35 million for Higuain for a move from Real Madrid in July 2013 after they sold Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani to Paris Saint- Germain. But Higuain has failed to match the expectations of the Italians. Now the Rafa Benetiz led side is looking for a striker who can score goals consistently. So, it is likely that the Argentine will move to England as Liverpool are still in search for a striker who is capable of filling the void left by Luis Suarez, who left to Barcelona at the start of this season. Liverpool are also waiting for their striker Daniel Sturridge, who is cursed with injury problems for a long time and is yet to return to the starting eleven. Their big signing this season, Mario Balotelli is going through a pale patch of form.

Apart from Liverpool, Arsenal will also go all out in signing the man, who was rumoured to have flew to London, agreed a deal and underwent a medical with the Gunners just to see him signing for Napoli in the 2013 summer window. Arsenal’s might have the likes of Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck, who are capable of playing up-front, but manager Arsene Wenger will splash the cash when he sees a bargain.

Massive Boost: £50m Goal Machine could make Arsenal move in January

According to reports from English media outlet DAILY EXPRESS Arsenal have been boosted in their pursuit of PSG striker Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan has not been included in PSG’s winter training camp in Marrakech, which could boost the Gunners’ hope of completing a shock January deal for the striker.

However the question for Arsene Wenger would be whether he would splash the cash for a striker in January. Arsenal signed Danny Welbeck in the summer from Manchester United, Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona and have Olivier Giroud fully fit. No doubt Cavani would strengthen the London side massively but the figure for the player looks well out of reach for the Emirates side.

Lavezzi along with Argentine winger Ezequiel Lavezzi has not traveled with the rest of the PSG for the warm weather training and there are suggestions that a transfer move away from the Paris side is imminent. The striker however will join the side when they return to for their away clash in the Ligue 1 against Bastia.

The club’s official website read: “Javier Pastore rejoins his teammates this afternoon, while Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi resume training back in Paris.”

It is believed that manager Laurent Blanc is more or less resigned to the fact of Cavani losing the club. Moreover should teh striker leave, PSG would be free from the constraints of Financial Fair Play. Chelsea were also linked with the player in the summer but they chose to sign Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid instead. It remains to be seen whether Wenger will splash the cash in the transfer market.

Arsenal Linked With Barcelona Star – Why He Could Shine For The Gunners

After a fine World Cup from Chile and Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez there have been many teams looking into signing him. One of those teams is Arsenal, who are competing for his signature against a host of other clubs including Liverpool and Serie A champions Juventus.

According to, Arsenal are lining up a £32 million move for Sanchez and the Metro suggest that they are the team in the driving seat to sign the player. Chile have just been knocked out of the World Cup and so Sanchez will now have the time to weigh up the options with his agent and decide which move is best for him. That is if Barcelona do not decide to keep hold of him after what has been a very productive World Cup for the player.

As mentioned, Sanchez personally had a great World Cup, scoring two goals against Australia and Brazil respectively in a Chile side that was a breath of fresh air and who took Brazil all the way to penalties in the round of 16. The 25-year-old also had a good club season with Barcelona scoring, 21 goals in 54 appearances in all competitions. He is a reasonably versatile player and can play on either wing, as a striker or even as an attacking midfield player. This would prove beneficial to Arsenal, as they only have one established striker in Olivier Giroud and, with the possibility of Lukas Podolski leaving the Emirates, Sanchez could be used as a winger alongside Giroud instead of replacing him in the side.

It looks like Arsenal will sign the Chilean forward, although they have been linked with other players such as Mario Balotelli, Lorenzo Insigne and Karim Benzema. All of these are decent players but it looks as though the Gunners will set their sights on Alexis Sanchez.
