Antoine Griezmann: Arsenal bound?
Theo Walcott must have walked under a ladder whilst stroking a black cat at the same time as walking over three drains because the Arsenal winger has terrible luck.

With all the rumours flying about regarding Manchester United’s midfield right now, it comes as no surprise that Ross Barkley is apparently top of David Moyes’ transfer list this January. The young Everton midfielder has been brilliant this season and, as a Manchester United fan, I would welcome him to the club with open arms. And here’s why.
There are three things that come with January – a new year, the sales and the transfer window in our beloved game. The former may provide us, personally, with a fresh go at things, but the latter offers football clubs a platform to build upon what they currently have. Rumours are rife right now, and one that has caught the headlines today is Manchester United’s chase of Marco Reus – the Daily Mirror say that the Germany international would cost up to £40m should United want to secure a deal, but what could he offer the Old Trafford outfit?
When Nigel Adkins was sacked as Southampton manager last season it sparked uproar across the Premier League. The current Reading manager had the Hampshire side in a reasonable position after having steered them from the depths of League One but the Saints board obviously had a plan. In came Mauricio Pochettino who has got Southampton firing in a impressive way and the club currently sit ninth in the table having spent the early stages in the top four. At the heart of that success has been academy player Adam Lallana, whose good form has supposedly earned him top spot on David Moyes’ shortlist for Manchester United signings in the summer, but what could he offer the Red Devils?
From the very start of this Premier League campaign, people have picked at Manchester United’s lack of midfield options. With Paul Scholes retiring and Darren Fletcher suffering from a long-term illness, it left the likes of Tom Cleverley, Michael Carrick and Anderson to form a relationship to fire United to the title. David Moyes did try to draft in some central players, and he got his mitts on Marouane Fellaini, who has failed to live up to the billing, but there has been one man who keeps popping up when the January transfer window opens. Atletico Madrid’s Koke is who I refer to, and it seems as though that Moyes will be back in for him on the turn of the new year.
There is no doubt in my mind that Manchester City will break the record for most goals scored in a Premier League season this year. They are simply unstoppable going forward and the attacking options they posses mean that any team in the league will struggle to hold them to less than three goals. Of course, they have been prolific in seasons gone by but never have they been quite so overpowering.
It is a great credit to Everton that the Merseysiders have now entered the conversation about who will win the Premier League this season.
