Manchester United can complete brilliant transfer taking some help from Chelsea

Ok, so try not to laugh over this. English Mirror are up at it once again. This time its the MIRROR who have claimed that Manchester United can buy Gareth Bale if Chelsea sell Eden Hazard to Real Madrid. Okay, so let that sink in. Its unbelievable that in the major part of the article that they have covered the story, its actually about other news rather than Bale to United or Hazard to Madrid. they finally point out that the Welsh winger has been linked with a move to Old Trafford since the summer after it developed that a Cristiano Ronaldo return to Old Trafford is unlikely. Bale has insisted that he is happy at the Bernabeu and does not want to move. Moreover Eden hazard is also a long-term target for Madrid but only if sanity prevails, Chelsea will surely not want to sell their prized asset.

Okay, let us clarify some key things here. Its shambolic from the Mirror to manufacture the non existent transfer rumours which are created just to deceive readers. Why would Bale even in fact want to join United now after having just moved to the Spanish capital. Moreover, it is believed that Ryan Giggs is being labelled as a chief ingredient to lure Bale to Old Trafford. So why the Welshman didn’t move to United when he was linked long before joining Real?

Also Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho would be a fool to sell Hazard and why would Real even want him in place of Ronaldo who seems settled at Bernabeu. Hazard has been an integral part of the Chelsea side who look to challenge for honours at Stamford Bridge. Moreover, the Belgian was linked to PSG in the summer and didn’t move saying he is happy at London

£20m Target set to reject Manchester United to seal Chelsea switch

Well, believe it or not. According top reports from English Tabloid Express, Barcelona defender Gerrard Pique could soon return to play in the English Premier League. However the Spaniard is set to reject a return to former club Manchester Unitd and join Jose Mourinho at Chelsea. The story claims that a lack of game time has frustrated Pique at the Camp Nou and the centre back might well head toward the exit from the Catalan club in the upcoming January transfer window.

United though are set to offer £20m to Barcelona for the player’s services but Chelsea’s higher bid of £24m means that the Blues are now in pole position to snatch Pique from the Red Devils’ grasp. It most probably means that Mourinho has already intensified his search for John Terry’s replacement. The club captain who is in the twilight of career might not be able to carry on after this season. So despite having the young and inexperienced Kurt Zouma, it looks like a good ploy for Mourinho.

Louis Van Gaalhowever is keen to see Pique at Old Trafford after suffering a number of injuries to his defense. The Dutch legend has already had to deal with Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra leaving the club in the summer before taking chArge. Despite having brought in Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo, United look very thin at the back. Injuries to Phil Jones and Johhny Evans hasn’t helped while Chris Smalling too got sent off during last weekend’s Manchester derby. Thus Paddy McNair and Taylor Blackett has featured but its well known that United will not be challenge for silverware with such inexperience at the back.

Pique will surely be enticed on a possible return to the Premier League but one wonders where will he head or will he stay put at Barcelona despite the rumours?

(Picture): Mesut Ozil Working Hard to return (from injury) with new boots

On a personal note, 2014 hasn’t really been a year for Mesut Ozil to remember if not for Germany’s World Cup triumph. He has looked in the shadow of his former self at Arsenal and hasn’t quite lived up to his price tag. He also suffered an injury which keeps him out till the end of the year, however he has pushed himself to extra training sessions in a bid to return earlier than expected from the sidelines. The German international is nursing a knee injury but has recently revealed that he will wear a new brand of Predator Instinct Adidas football boots on his return for the Gunners.

Ozil wrote in Twitter, “Working very hard to get back on field so I can wear my new #PredatorInstinct!” Alexis Sanchez however has made sure that Arsenal are not missing Ozil. However the creative German midfielder’s return will boost the North London side in their quest for silverware this season.

Done Deal: Arsenal confirm player transfer

Arsenal have confirmed that their young goalkeeper Josh Vickers has joined Concord Rangers on a month long deal. The 18-year-old however can return to the Gunners and would be eligible to play the academy fixtures. Last season too he was away on-loan at Canvey Island and had made 36 appearances.

The official website of the North London club confirmed with the statement, “Josh Vickers has joined Conference South side Concord Rangers on loan for one month. With the terms of his loan enabling him to return to Arsenal for academy games, Vickers also helped the Gunners to the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup last season. Everyone at Arsenal wishes Josh well for his time with Concord Rangers.” Conference side Concord too confirmed their signing.

They seemed to have been quite delighted with the transfer. “The 18-year-old will provide quality cover for injured duo Jamie Butler and Joe Wright. The first round proper tie at Field Mill against League Two hosts Mansfield will be one of the biggest games in Rangers’ history.”

Its well known that majority of youngsters, thanks to the lack of opportunities with the first team look to move out elsewhere to get enough game-time. It seems to be a wise decision from Vickers, now that he would be able to play significantly rather than warm the sidelines at the North London club. The Basildon-born shot stopper has a long way to go before he can even think to make an appearance for the Emirates faithful.

(Picture): Manchester United captain trains under intense cold

Manchester United are set to face Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon as the Red Devils look to bounce back from last weekend’s derby against Manchester City. United’s poor start to the season has seen them earn just 13 points from 10 games under new manager Louis Van Gaal and they currently lie tenth in the Premier League standings.

The weather conditions too are getting intense at Manchester and its almost freezing as temperature has dropped to 9 degrees and its certain to drop more as the Christmas period draws near. Here is a picture of Wayne Rooney who dons his gloves in training ahead of weekend’s clash. Rooney had a good game personally against City last weekend but couldn’t prevent his ten man side avoid defeat.

Several other players including the fit again Ander Hererra was pictured alongside Juan Mata as Van Gaal ditched out instructions. United would be expected to steamroll past Palace with ease.

The Red Devils though have a shortage of centre-backs and might use Michael Carrick for assurance. Marcos Rojo (shoulder), Phil Jones (shin), Chris Smalling (suspension) and Jonny Evans (ankle) are all unavailable, with right-back Rafael a major doubt with a hamstring injury.

Arsenal star Nacho Monreal handed severe criticism in Twitter

Nacho Monreal isn’t exactly a fan favourite at arsenal despite having joined the North London club almost two years ago. The Spaniard was all at sea in Tuesday’s Champions League tie against Belgian side Anderlecht as the Gunners threw away a three goal lead to finally finish the encounter 3-3. arsenal had planned a Question and Answer session for the fans in Twitter suing the hashtag #AskMonreal. However, things didn’t go quite well for the left back, who was severely criticized by the fans.

We have a collection of some of the best tweets.

This is Unbelievable

You can just die out of laughter

(Picture): Huge Boost for Liverpool as Daniel Sturridge hints at return from injury

Liverpool fans will be glad to hear this piece of news! Daniel Sturridge who missed a majority of the season through injury has finally given some good for the Reds. The English striker gave a possible hint about his sooner rather than later return from injury. Here is the folling picture that he posted in his Instagram account.

Sturridge wrote, “At the end of the tunnel. Thank you Jesus’, hinting at a nearby return to first team action.” The recent developments will come as a great source of inspiration as Liverpool strikers including the trio of Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert haven’t been abel to score his season. Manager Brendan Rodgers too is under great pressure after a poor start to the season.

Sturridge though won’t be fit in time to face former club Chelsea but the International break will come as good news for the Reds. Sturridge might until the resumption of the Premier League be fit to finally take his place in the starting eleven.

(Picture): Was Anderlecht’s penalty at Arsenal illegal?

Arsenal’s late capitulation last night against Belgian side  Anderlecht was hocking if not appalling from the London side. The Gunners were in firm control leading by 3-0 and somehow managed to draw finishing 3-3 in full time. Manager Arsene Wenger’s face said it all and it clearly showed that their inability to hold on to such a huge lead would cost them in the coming games.

However was Anderlecht’s penalty at  illegal? Have a look at the picture below.

The incident featured a serious amount of encroaching. Aleksandar Mitrovic, the Anderlecht number 45, was clearly inside the penalty box before the kick was taken and had also made some advanced steps. Former Portsmouth player Anthony Vanden Borre scored from the spot. It is unlikely to point out but officiating could have been better here.

Having said that though, Arsenal should up their games from now us and save themselves some embarrassment.
