I’m sure in life, at times, we all have opinions about our peers. Whether it be co-workers, friends, or family, everyone has got an opinion on everyone else, but the question is, is it ever okay to actually say something? That dilemma came up earlier this week when Chelsea and Belgium mid fielder Eden Hazard was quoted saying that he felt as if fellow Chelsea and Belgium mid fielder, Kevin De Bruyne should probably look to play his club football elsewhere come the January transfer window.

Unfortunately for all of us football fans, all domestic leagues are on hold yet again this weekend for International play. Some are just friendlies, but there are still a few juicy world cup qualifiers to look forward to. For UEFA, on Friday, France is playing the Ukraine while Portugal will be matched up against Sweden. Both sides will also meet again on Tuesday to finish up this playoff round. So the question is why am I to be excited about this?

In yet another story of a mediocre club being bought by billionaires, Paris St Germain has been no stranger to money in the past few years. Some of the most talented players in the world have decided to call the city of lights their home recently, even David Beckham got in on the action before retiring. But, there is just something about PSG that I just can’t wrap my head around. I feel like these superstars that decide to play there are forgotten, going to a league that isn’t quite as popular as all of the others. Yes, they qualify for the Champions League, but even there, they’re up against giants, and they can’t really compete.

Maybe its because Italian blood runs through my veins, but Serie A has always been one of my favourite leagues to watch. Whether it’s a huge match between Juventus and Inter Milan or the derby between Lazio and Roma, I fall in love with the league even more every time I’m lucky enough to catch it on television. I think its pretty underrated – there is a lot of talent down in Italy, both new as well as the Italian legends that still grace the pitch for their favorite teams. Here are five reasons why I love Serie A, and why you should, too!

Coming off the heels of an incredible win mid week in the Champions League, you would think that Chelsea would go into this past weekend’s match at Stamford Bridge against West Bromwich Albion with nothing but confidence. However, it didn’t go as well as planned.

Last Wednesday night, Chelsea sailed to victory with a 3-0 defeat over German side Schalke in the Champions League. The game was well played by the blues, and in it, fans finally got to see what new summer signing Samuel Eto’o was capable of. He netted two goals, while fellow striker Demba Ba scored the final, giving Chelsea the three-goal advantage. The three points from this win put Chelsea in first place in the Group E standings, which is pretty good considering they dropped points early on in the season, losing their opening match of the group stages to FC Basel.

Looking at the Premier League match ups this weekend, it’s clear that the match of the week has to go to table topping Arsenal and struggling Manchester United at Old Trafford. Arsenal have been on-fire this season, partly thanks to the summer signing of Mesut Ozil.

Due to a thigh injury Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has been ruled out of Wednesday night’s Champions League match against Schalke. Bad news for Chelsea, yes, but for Torres himself it is even worse.
