I can’t believe it’s not better!

Just when I think this could be our year, I remember we are Manchester City. The lacklustre performance last night against Dynamo Kiev resulted in a 2-0 first legged loss giving us not a big mountain but a mountain to climb all the same to reach the UEFA Cup quarter finals.

The main hardship for a Miller at the moment is playing at Don Valley stadium, due to their eviction from Millmoor, their spiritual home. Like a problem child disowned by its parents, and sent to live in a stale, draughty home with its cold, unloving Grandparents, Rotherham United have never made themselves at home at Don Valley.

What an important week for Manchester City. An away trip to Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev followed by Reading on Sunday and a home tie the following Thursday to Kiev sees an FA Cup quarter final wedged in a two legged last 16 UEFA cup sandwich in the space of seven days.
